A large selection of bulk products such as organic food, oils and vinegars, teas, natural home cleaning and body products, and eco-friendly accessories have now been added to the product line at this carefully decorated boutique.
Having dreamed from a young age of living out her passion for food, Maryse Lapalme, chartered accountant for 15 years, decided to put this career aside to open her very own boutique. Thus, the Gourmet Academy was established. With great pride, Maryse obtained in November 2019 her designation as a registered holistic nutritionist, which leads her to add the health component to her business. The offering of nutrition counselling and online courses are in the company's plans. The owner is also passionate about teaching cooking classes to children. What could be more unique than organizing a children's birthday party to discover new recipes and possibly a love for the culinary arts?
In addition, the company believes in the importance of giving back to the community. The owner has been treasurer of the Prescott-Russell Chamber of Commerce for 5 years now. The Department of Economic Development is proud that the Gourmet Academy is among our business community and congratulates Maryse for her work and involvement in the Township of Russell.
