Installing a Fence
You do not need a permit from the Township to build a fence on your property, but you need to follow regulations set in the Fence By-Law.
Before building a fence, please contact our Public Safety and Enforcement Department.
We can help you understand which parts of the Fence By-Law apply to your property, including whether your fence will be:
- On your property or on the property line;
- In the front yard, or at the back or side yard;
- Surrounding a pool or spa (see below);
- Installed on a corner lot;
