Infrastructure Services Attendants (May 5 to August 29) - 40 hrs./week

Under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor, students will assist in a variety of labouring activities to maintain sidewalks, streets and roads, and perform other related duties.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma;
  • Must provide a clear criminal record check;
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence;
  • Must have CSA approved work boots;
  • Must be comfortable with physical effort such as lifting, pulling and carrying;
  • Must be bilingual.

Compensation: The salary is fixed between $19.13 and $21.67 per hour. The Township also offers free access to the gym at the Sports Dome.

Administrative Services Clerk (May 5 to August 29) - 35 hrs./week
Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Manager, the incumbent will provide administrative support and various clerical tasks to the Administrative Services department and assist with the implementation of electronic Human Resources and Corporate Services files. 

Duties will include, but not limited to, performing electronic data entry, filing, preparation of onboarding and recruitment electronic files and perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have clerical experience;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint);
  • Experience working in a multi-tasked environment;
  • Must have organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be bilingual.

Compensation: The salary is $17.61 per hour and work hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Township also offers free access to the gym at the Sports Dome.

The Client Services Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the community and ensuring the smooth operation of various client service functions.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma with collegiate or university undergraduate studies;

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle complaints in a professional manner;
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills;
  • Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Office 365;
  • Knowledge of Diamond and CityWide software would be an asset.

Economic Development Officer

The Economic Development Officer is responsible for stimulating economic growth by attracting industrial and business investment, creating jobs and supporting the growth of local businesses. Its role is to plan, organize and manage initiatives that promote a prosperous and sustainable economy. These include attracting new businesses, helping to maintain and expand businesses, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the overall economic development of the community.

Specific knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business management, urban planning, public administration, or a related field.
  • Certificate in economic development is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in economic development, business development, urban planning or a similar role.
  • Experience writing grant applications, managing economic development programs, and partnering with businesses and public agencies.
  • Experience in market analysis, investment attraction and policy development are highly desired.
  • Experience in attracting business investment and leading community economic development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, versatile environment.

Language requirements:

Compensation:

The salary, based on 35 hours a week, is between $73,504 and $91,749 per year includes an excellent benefit package, a pension plan as well as free access to the Russell Sports Dome Training Centre (gym).
