Summer Camps

The Township offers daily Summer Camps from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Camp Moustiques and Kaboum will run from June 22 to August 21, 2026. Camp Sunshine, Lightning and Xtreme will run from June 29 to August 28, 2026.

Prices

Price is per child per week.

Camp Moustique

This camp offers exciting themes and activities each week. Activities include games, arts and crafts, recreational swimming, outdoor activities, water activities and more!

Camp Kaboom

This camp is perfect for your pre-teen! Sports, games, swimming, outdoor activities, water games and much more!

Camp Sunshine

Each week brings a new theme. Enjoy games, arts and crafts, recreational swimming, outdoor activities, water activities and much more!

English camp

Location: Frank Kinnaird Hall, Russell Arena

Camp Lightning

Calling all kids! We take camp to a whole new level. Take part in sports, games, swimming, outdoor activities, water games and much more!

Calling all pre-teens! We take camp to a whole new level. Take part in sports, games, swimming, outdoor activities, water games and much more!

Important Information

At the time the program guide was printed, the 2026-2027 school calendars were not available for all school boards. If any changes are required, the online registration system will reflect the most up-to-date information.
Refund Policy: Withdrawal from a week of camp will be refunded if the Township is notified at least two weeks in advance. A $10 administrative fee will be applied for every $100 refunded.
No outings are scheduled other than visits to the pool. Instead, special guests will visit the camp each week, which helps keep registration fees affordable for families.
No registration will be taken at the camp the same day. You must register online by the Wednesday before the desired camp week.
Only children who are 4 years of age or older can participate in the camp.
Children who require diapers cannot attend camp.
If a child is registered in the wrong age group, the Township reserves the right to withdraw the child from the camp. We will try to place the child in an appropriate camp if space permits. If no suitable option is available, a refund will be issued.

New Frontier Summer Camp

Are you looking for an unforgettable summer experience for your child living with a disability? The Township of Russell has teamed up with Flow Recreation Therapy to offer two exciting weeks of summer camp, where fun meets purpose and every camper has the opportunity to grow, build connections, and thrive.

This camp is uniquely designed to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children, youth, and young adults of all ages and abilities. Whether your child enjoys sports, crafts, science, or simply making new friends, our inclusive and activity-rich program has something for everyone!

Dates and Location

July 6 to 10 and July 27 to 31, 2026
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Ages 6 to 40.

Camille Piché Community Centre (8 Blais Street, Embrun)

Babysitting Course

Dance Programs – JB Danceworkz

In partnership with the Township of Russell, JB Danceworkz offer recreational and competitive dance programs.

Refunds

A program may be cancelled if there is not enough registration. If this happens, you can transfer to another program of equal value (subject to availability), receive a full refund, or apply the credit to your account for future registrations.
To request a withdrawal refund, you must do so within two days after the first class. The cost of the first class will be deducted from the refund.
Prorated refunds for medical reasons require a doctor’s note.
Online administrative fees are not refundable, even if a course if cancelled.
An administrative fee of $10 applies to all refund transactions over $100.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to the weather or circumstances beyond our control.
On snow days, sessions are not automatically cancelled. You will be notified by email if a session is cancelled. If you do not receive an email, the session will proceed as scheduled.
If a class is cancelled, we will try to reschedule it if space and scheduling allow.

Receipts

Please print or save your receipts for your records and for income tax purposes.
