Winter Parking Ban in Effect
An on-street parking ban is in effect tonight, until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
During this period, no person shall park a vehicle or permit a vehicle to remain on a street between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., regardless of the weather conditions. Any person who does so is liable to a fine and/or will have their vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.
During a winter parking ban, please park in your driveway or use one of our designated overnight parking areas. Learn more about Parking regulations in the Township of Russell.
The alert-based parking ban is part of a pilot project for the 2023-2024 winter season. In December, January, and February, the regular winter parking ban will remain in effect each night from 1:00a.m. to 7:00a.m., regardless of weather conditions. In November and in March, the on-street parking ban will be reduced to alert-based only (since there is historically less snow during these months). Register for our parking ban notices. You will receive an email notice before 2:00p.m. if an on-street parking ban is in effect.
