Voluntary Positions Available on Council Advisory Committees

The Township of Russell is seeking to fill positions on the following committees:
4. Seniors Advisory Committee (1 position)
Term:
Concurrent with the term of Council (ending November 14, 2026, or until a successor member is appointed).
Remuneration:
Not applicable.

Those interested in the above-mentioned positions are invited to complete, sign and submit the Committee Appointment Application Form to the Clerk’s office, by email at clerk.greffe@russell.ca or in-person at Town Hall (717 Notre-Dame Street, Embrun, ON K0A 1W1). The Application Form can be found on our website at Russell.ca/committees or can be provided by the Clerk’s office by email.
Only the selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.

1. Community Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (1 position)
2. Attainable and Affordable Housing Committee (1 position)
Requirement:
- Must be 18 years of age or over;
- Must be a Canadian Citizen;
- Must be a resident of the Township of Russell;
- Bilingualism is an asset (English/French).
3. Teens Advisory Committee (3 positions – At-large teen representatives)
- Teens who apply must meet the following criteria:
- Must be Russell Township residents;
- Must be 14-18 years old at the time of joining the committee;
- Will represent a cross-section of Russell Township teens;
- Must be available to attend meetings and other activities on behalf of the committee;
- Must represent themself and not any organization or special interest group.
4. Seniors Advisory Committee (1 position)
- Seniors who apply must meet the following criteria:
- Must be residents of the Russell Township;
- Must be 55 years of age or older;
- Must be prepared to volunteer time and serve actively on the committee;
- Must participate as individuals and not represent any organization or special interest group.
