Here is where the financing came from:
- Canada Community Building Fund
- Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund
- Township Asset Management Reserves
- Township Capital Projects Fund
- Council’s “2nd Stream” Fund (for Roads Not Part of the Engineer’s Recommendations)
Many roads in the Township need to be updated. We prioritize the roads we improve using the engineer's recommendations in our 2019 Infrastructure Assessment Report. Roads are ranked for improvement based on condition, speed limits, traffic volume and best investment. The final list of roads is chosen by Council each year.
During last year’s budget discussions, the 2018-2022 Council group requested a “2nd Stream” — an extra road repair fund to help fix roads that are not part of the engineer’s recommendations. The road that was added to the paving list was St André Road (Route 400 to Marionville Road).
If you have requests for the 2023 budget, please attend Council’s Public Consultation on December 12, 2022.
