Recreation Complex Update – April 17, 2025
Work is progressing well at the new Recreation Complex! The building exterior wall foundations, interior piers, and grade beams continue to move forward with the pool change area and community hall nearly complete.
In the pool filtration room, work has resumed with the surge tank walls and slabs being poured. Crews are also installing underground piping for stormwater and sanitary systems. In the refrigeration room, the interior under slab drainage has been completed, along with the installation of exterior weeping tile.
The installation of deep underground storm and sanitary piping is ongoing and overlaps with the backfilling of the building footprint. Major underground runs are being placed between the pool area and the community hall.
Masonry work (building the load-bearing block walls) has begun in the change room core and is moving upward. The structural steel for all three arenas has been delivered. Construction of Rink #3 has started. Once complete, crews will move on to building the roof and exterior walls.
The project is advancing well and remains on schedule. View newly added photos in our photo gallery.
