March Positive Tickets for Youth
We are rewarding youth for good deeds in our community!
Our Public Safety and Enforcement officers are issuing "positive tickets" to local youth for helpful actions, behaviour, and acts of kindness. Each “ticket” includes a gift card to a local business as a reward for being a great role model.
During the month of March, we have rewarded two youth with Positive Tickets for their initiatives within their community.
- Jacob, 11-year-old, never misses an opportunity to help people. Whether it be helping seniors cleaning snow off their walkway, volunteering his time at functions, or anywhere else his help could be applied.
- Hailey is a young girl who is ALWAYS trying to do good. She is often out and about helping the neighbourhood kids and giving parents a much-needed break by keeping a watchful eye on them at the park. One child has even commented that he feels safer around the big kids when Hailey’s around!
Congrats to Jacob and Hailey!
If you see someone 16 years or younger who is spreading positivity, let us know. Contact our Public Safety and Enforcement Department.
Special thanks to our community groups and local business owners who are sponsoring prizes in this program, including the Kin Club, Legion, Giant Tiger, McDonald’s, and Tim Hortons.
