Important Fire Safety Message: Remove Tape from Your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms

It has been brought to our attention that the red tape that seals smoke and carbon monoxide alarms during construction is not always being removed before occupancy.

For your and your family’s safety please verify that there is no tape (tape shown in the photo) or any other covering on any of the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your home. The tape that seals these smoke and carbon monoxide alarms will prevent the units from functioning as intended.

The tape can easily be removed by any member of your household.
