Half-Load Restrictions in effect as of March 7, 2025

Half-load restrictions are now in effect for the spring thawing season. These restrictions apply to vehicles with a weight exceeding 5,000 kilograms or five tonnes per axle.

Signs indicating the weight restrictions have been installed on all municipal roads where they apply. Road and weather conditions are routinely reviewed to determine the end date for the restrictions.

Please note that emergency vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.

Temporary weight restrictions are implemented to protect Township roads from damage during the spring season. As roads thaw in early spring, water seeps into the gravel, causing the pavement temporarily loses the strength needed to support heavy vehicles.
