Last week, representatives from the Township of Russell, including Mayor Mike Tarnowski and Councillor Marc Lalonde, met with Sara Cooper, CEO, and Erin O’Connor, Senior Director of Housing Development at Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa.
The purpose of the meeting was to learn more about the organization’s services and explore how Habitat for Humanity could support affordable housing efforts in our community.
The discussion was both constructive and encouraging, highlighting the potential for a future partnership. A collaboration of this kind could help bring meaningful and lasting affordable housing solutions to residents of Russell Township.
The Township looks forward to continuing this dialogue and working together to address the growing housing needs in our community.
