Freezing Rain Storm - April 5, 2023

The freezing rain event we are witnessing has downed numerous trees and branches, some of them hanging on or bringing down power and cable lines. Russell Fire Service, Public Safety and Public Works crews are working hard to respond to all requirements, with priorities being route clearance and public safety. Crews will work into this evening to ensure roads remain safe and clear.

Should residents note any additional downed trees on public roads or power lines, please contact the Township’s on Call number at 613-443-3066, extension 8 to report time and location.

Residents with damage on their properties should contact their insurance provider.
