Commitment to Community Health and Accessibility
The Township of Russell and the UCPR have once again collaborated to champion community wellness and equal access to recreation. With this continued funding, the Township aims to sustain opportunities for physical activity without financial barriers, ensuring that health and fitness resources are accessible to everyone in the community.
A Word from Leadership
Mike Tarnowski, Mayor of the Township of Russell, emphasized the community benefits of this renewed support: “The renewal of free access to the walking track ensures that residents have a safe, welcoming space to stay active year-round,” he said. “Particularly during the winter and on days with challenging weather, the track serves as an essential resource for residents of all ages. This partnership with the UCPR demonstrates our shared commitment to enhance the health, accessibility, and quality of life in our community.”
