Expression of Interest (EOI) for Local Construction/Supplier Companies - Recreation Complex

The Township of Russell is planning the construction of a new recreation facility which may consist of up to 3 arenas, 1 Pool, 1 Performing Arts Theatre and/or 1 Library. There may be other recreation spaces as determined through community feedback.

All local contractors, sub contractors and suppliers interested in providing competitive pricing for any work related to the new facility are requested to respond in writing by June 18, 2021. Submit the company name, contact information and a brief description of the services the company provides by email to:

The intention of this expression of interest is to develop a list of local companies that may be able to provide service to the facility. The local contractor/supplier list will be circulated as part of tendering and prequalification processes to out of town contractors and consultants to encourage local participation. There is no guarantee of work by responding to this EOI and no proposal or pricing is required at this time. A response to this EOI is not required for further involvement in the project.

The current plan is to issue a Prequalification RFP to General Contractors late 2021/early 2022 dependent on Council’s decision in fall 2021. Construction is planned to start late 2022/early 2023.
