Emergency Water Ban Notice - Embrun
June 30, 2023
Following a major watermain break at our reservoir, the Township of Russell has implemented water ban until further notice. To ensure we keep enough water in the system for household and firefighting needs, residents are asked to use water only when completely necessary.
The restriction applies to residents of Embrun which are served by the Township of Russell's water distribution system.
During this restriction, all outdoor use of water is suspended and prohibited, including the following activities:
• Watering lawns (manually or with automatic sprinklers) or pressure washing driveways;
• Filling or adding water to a hot tub, pool or garden pond;
• Washing a vehicle or boat and all outdoor use of water.
The water has been turned off at the Embrun Splashpad during this water ban.
When the water ban is changed or lifted, a public notice will be posted on the Township’s website, sent to our email list, and posted on our social media.
