Did You Know About our Community Grant Program?
Are you part of a non-profit organization, community group, or association looking to make a positive impact in Russell Township? If so, our Community Grant Program could help bring your project or event to life!
What Is the Community Grant Program?
Russell Township’s Community Grants and Contributions Program provides financial support to local organizations for initiatives that benefit our residents and foster community spirit. Whether you're organizing a Canada Day celebration, a winter carnival, a health fair, or another community-focused event, we encourage you to apply!
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to non-profit organizations, groups, or associations that are planning events or projects within Russell Township. These grants are designed to offer modest financial support and should not be considered the main source of funding for any initiative.
How Are Grants Awarded?
Each year, Township Council determines the total funding available for this program as part of the municipal budget process. Applications are evaluated based on specific criteria, ensuring funds are allocated to projects that best serve our community. In 2024, more than 45 community groups received funding in-kind and ad hoc (cash).
