COVID-19: Provincial Reopening of Outdoor Recreational Amenities on May 22, 2021

As of Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., the following outdoor recreational amenities will be open :

• Tennis and pickleball courts
• Basketball courts
• Soccer fields
• Baseball diamonds
• Horse shoe court
• Skate parks
• Boat launch

The play structures, including the splash pad, and the recreational trail will remain open. The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has confirmed that stand-alone splash pads, like ours, are similar to play structures; thus, they should remain open. Splash pads that are part of a pool or wading pool should remain closed.

The following conditions apply:

• Individuals must maintain physical distancing.
• Team sports must not be practiced or played.
• Other sports or games that are likely to result in individuals coming two metres of each other is not practiced or played within the amenity.
