Noise Bylaw Exemption Request (Item 11d)

Council approved a noise exemption request for October 4, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Russell Fairground large barn located at 1084 Concession Street.

Budget 2025 Public Consultation (Item 19a)

The public consultation on the 2025 budget took place yesterday, and many residents took advantage of this opportunity to submit financial requests or propose investment ideas for various projects within the municipality. These consultations are essential to ensure that budgetary decisions meet the real needs of the community and help prioritize investments that will have a direct impact on the quality of life of citizens.

We invite residents to get involved in this process in the following ways.

• Take our short survey by September 30, 2024, at the following link.
• Send your suggestions to the Clerk’s Office at clerk.greffe@russell.ca by September 30, 2024.

• Autumn in the Country art festival and Photo Expo: Saturday, September 14^th, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Russell Fairground (in the Big Barn behind the Russell Arena). Support artists across the Township and visit the photo expo.
• Heritage Day: Saturday September 14^th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., celebrating sport heritage at the Keith M. Boyd Museum (1150 Concession St., Russell).
• Terry Fox Run: Sunday September 15^th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. For more information: https://run.terryfox.ca/55985.
• Recreation Complex Press Conference: Tuesday, September 17^th at 10:30 a.m. at the construction site (150 Sportsplex St., Embrun).
• The 17^th Women’s Walk takes place in L’Orignal on September 18^th.
