| Citizen Recognition – Courage Award (Item 8a) |

Council had the honor of presenting a Citizen Recognition Award to 13-year-old Jacob Landriault for his quick thinking and heroic actions. For more information, see full article. |
| 1st Draft of the 2025 Budget (Item 11c) |
| Council received report CSAS-FS-2024-17 dated October 15, 2024, and acknowledge receipt of the first draft of the 2025 budget, which forecasts an overall tax increase of 10.63% (7.72% = General Operations increase) + (2.91% = OPP invoice increase). Further discussions be held at the set budget working day sessions on October 24 and 25, 2024. |
| Road Condition Assessment - Report IS-PW-2024-18 (Item 11e) |
| Council reviewed the road condition assessment report from May 2024. A proposed 10-year paving plan, aligned with the 2019 approved strategy, was also presented. Roads scheduled for paving will be finalized each year during the budget discussions. The proposed plan may be adjusted, as some roads are dependent on storm sewer reconstruction, and further investigations into the storm sewer conditions are still underway. |

Strategic Discussion – Affordable Housing (Item 21a) |

Council discussed affordable housing to provide staff with a clearer understanding of its priorities on this important issue. |

Announcements |

A reminder that leaf and yard waste collection is next week. Have them ready at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of your regular collection to ensure you don’t miss it. A second fall collection will also take place the week of November 4th. |
The next Council meeting will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
