| Citizen Recognition – Leadership and Courage Award (Item 8a) |
| A joint ceremony with CHEO was held to award Rory Renwick a Citizen’s Recognition award for her actions during the April 22, 2024, bus accident. For more information, read the full story here. |
| Amendment to the Fire and Protection Agreement with the Nation Municipality – Report FIRE-2024-02 (Item 11m) |
| An agreement was amended with the Nation Municipality to provide fire protection services for the sector of Limoges Road south of Highway 417 while the road closure of Route 300 is in effect. This will allow faster response time while the detour is in place. |
| Naming of Park St-Thomas (Item 11q) |
| Council approved the recommendation to name the parc on Lucerne Road, in the St-Thomas Development as Cloutier-Dazé Park. This is following a request to the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee to honor both families as the park is located on farmland from these families. |
The next Council meeting will be Monday, May 27, 2024 at 6:00p.m.
