The Council has received Report PD-2024-07 dated March 11, 2024, and has approved the recommendation for the Township of Russell to engage a consultant, TWC, to assess affordable housing needs in the Township of Russell, as well as to develop an action plan. TWC will present the results of their housing needs assessment to the Council in September 2024. To facilitate this analysis, TWC plans to engage with various key stakeholders in the region, host workshops with members of the municipal Council and Township employees, arrange an open house day to allow the entire community to contribute to the needs assessment, and conduct a community survey. There are ample opportunities for everyone to get involved in these discussions and share their perspectives on affordable housing. |
