Purple Day for Epilepsy 2025
Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26, people in countries around the world are encouraged to wear purple and participate in events that support epilepsy awareness. The goal is simple: to promote understanding, reduce stigma, and show solidarity with the millions of people living with epilepsy worldwide.
Last year, people from over than 85 countries across all continents participated in Purple Day! This growing global movement has touched hearts and minds everywhere, fostering a worldwide conversation about epilepsy.
Canada stands out as the only country that officially recognizes March 26 as Purple Day, thanks to the Purple Day Act, which came into effect on June 28, 2012. This landmark legislation reflects Canada’s commitment to supporting those affected by epilepsy and increasing public awareness.
This March 26, join the movement and show your support by wearing purple! It's a simple yet powerful way to stand in solidarity with those who live with epilepsy every day. Whether at home, at work, or in your community, your participation helps spread awareness.
