Cooling Centres Open Tuesday to Thursday

With the expected high temperatures coming in the next few days, the Township of Russell will have daytime cooling centers to provide relief from the heat to residents in need on Tuesday June 18^th, Wednesday June 19^th and Thursday June 20^th, 2024.

Sports Dome

• Located at 150 Sportsplex Street in Embrun.
• Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Township of Russell Library - Russell Branch

• Located at 1053 Concession Street in Russell.
• Tuesday & Thursday from 10 :00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Don’t forget that the Splash Pad at Yahoo Park is available (2 Marcel Street in Embrun). It will be open an hour later, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the heat wave.

Please note that the public pool is not open yet for the season.
