The Township can not resolve issues with specific vehicles or drivers. If you witness speeding or other traffic violations, please report it to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Our Action Plan

In addition to our many policies that guide road safety in the community, here are the action items approved by Council.

Speed Boards

The Township is collecting traffic data such as traffic count and speed throughout the villages. The data will assist staff to determine if traffic calming device is required.

When collecting speed data, we will record the speed of traffic from both, and we will turn the screen off to obtain the most representative data.

We collect traffic data in our villages to understand if traffic calming measures are needed. The boards are at different strategic locations within the Township. We always record traffic data from both sides of the street. You may sometimes notice a screen is turned off — don’t worry, data is still being collected. Turning the screen off can help us collect more representative data.

Speeding violations and other traffic violations must be reported to the Ontario Provincial Police. To make a report, please call the OPP’s non-emergency phone line at 1-888-310-1122 or report online.
