Press Release
Embrun, July 17, 2026
Embrun Co-op is proud to mark the groundbreaking of its future multi-use building located at 3 Lapalme Street in Embrun. This landmark investment, which will be home to the Embrun branch of the Township of Russell Public Library, will serve as a community destination for residents, organizations, and businesses for years to come.
With construction set to begin in early August 2026, the project is moving from planning to reality. Designed to be modern, accessible, and versatile, the multi-use building will bring together cultural, commercial, and professional spaces under one roof, contributing to the growth and vibrancy of the community.

In addition to housing the Township of Russell Public Library, the building will feature a 3,000-square-foot commercial unit on the ground floor, creating a unique opportunity for a business to establish itself in a prime location at the heart of Embrun. The second floor will offer 8,000 square feet of flexible office space that can be tailored to the needs of future tenants. Accessible via an open staircase and elevator within a striking floor to-ceiling glass atrium, the upper level has been designed with adaptability in mind. Separate entrances for the library, commercial space, and offices will allow the building to accommodate a variety of users while ensuring each space operates efficiently and independently.
