Good news! After discussions with our provider, we now have a date for the 2026 hazardous waste collection. It will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the municipal garage (857 Route 400, Russell).
Take the opportunity to get rid of your paint, aerosols, oil filter, oil, fuel, pesticides, batteries, light bulbs (including fluorescent), propane, fertilizer, antifreeze, acids, fire extinguishers etc.
This event is for residents of the Township of Russell only. Proof of residency is required.
Only residential materials will be accepted.
Did you know that some local hardware stores accept common hazardous waste year-round? You don’t need to wait until Hazardous Waste Day to get rid of items like paint, lightbulbs, and batteries.
