The Township of Russell does not set your property value. Property values in Ontario are assessed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).
The Township uses MPAC’s assessment value and applies the municipal tax rate to calculate the amount of taxes you pay.
As a property owner, you will receive notices from MPAC about your property’s assessed value. If you want MPAC notices sent to a different mailing address, you can update your information directly with MPAC at mpac.ca.
Did you receive a Property Assessment Change Notice from MPAC? Learns what it means and what you can do at mpac.ca.
Property assessments work differently for newly built homes.
If you have questions about your assessment or want to file an appeal, visit MPAC’s website.
