Council Members

Questions must be submitted by noon on the day of the meeting using one of the following methods:

• Via the online webform
• By email to the Clerk’s Office
• By submitting a written letter to the Clerk’s Office

• Questions must relate only to an item on the meeting agenda
• Anonymous questions will not be addressed
• Questions are reviewed by the Clerk’s Office to ensure they are:
  • Respectful in tone
  • Relevant to the agenda
  • Appropriate in language

Questions that do not meet the above criteria will not be approved.

All questions are managed in accordance with the Township’s records management and retention by‑law.

• Approved questions are read out loud during the Public Questions on the Meeting of the Day portion of the Council meeting
• Questions may be answered by Council members or administration
• If your question relates to an item added to the agenda at the meeting, it may be submitted to be read at the next Council meeting

• Approved questions will be read in the live broadcast and the official public recording of the meeting
• Questions and answers are not transcribed in the meeting minutes
