Mobile Live Fire Training Unit Helps Train Local Firefighters

Russell Township Fire Services are hosting the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office (OFM) Mobile Live Fire Training Unit (MLFTU) at Station 11 in Embrun this week. The MLFTU is a propane-fueled state-of-the-art live-fire simulator, expertly managed by Ontario Fire College instructors and funded by the OFM. This initiative is designed to enhance crucial firefighting skills, including fire suppression, pumper operations, and incident management systems.

Bowling Hall Reopens with a Fresh New Look

The lanes will reopen for public bowling on Friday, September 6, 2024! We will also have prolonged public bowl hours this Saturday, September 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

During the summer break, we took the opportunity to give the space a fresh new look. The bowling hall, located at 8 Blais Street below the Camille Piché Community Centre in Embrun, has been open since 1981. It is a well-known spot for residents to enjoy a friendly game or join a local league.

At the Council meeting on August 26, 2024, a decision was made to enter into an agreement with Embrun Co-op.
