Roundabout Construction on St-Guillaume at St-Pierre

Work continues on a new Roundabout on St-Guillaume Road at St-Pierre, near the Vars 417. This project, from the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, is to help the traffic flow of our growing community. This part of the project began on May 23rd 2023 to complete concrete work and culverts on the South leg of the roundabout and establish the West quadrant of the roundabout.

Please note that the start date of the Craig Street storm sewer replacement has been delayed. We will advise when a new date is set for the start of this project. Mill Street will remain open until further notice.

Bridge Rehabilitation on St-André has Begun

Crews have started the bridge rehabilitation on St-André Road, south of Notre-Dame Street. This project is budgeted for approximately $1,645,000!
All bridges in the Township are inspected once every two years by an engineer, following guidelines in the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual. The engineer’s report identifies the condition of municipal bridges, which allows the Township to financially plan and prepare for future repairs or replacements.

Culvert Replacement on Route 300 Begins

Materials are now in for the culvert replacement on Route 300. Crews began on Monday and are working to complete construction over the next few weeks.
This culvert replacement is part of the capital projects budgeted for 2020. Route 300 between St-Augustin Rd and St-Pierre Rd has been closed since May, (instead of July as was initially planned), due to emergency safety issues with the culvert.
