Township Flags at Half-Mast to Honour Victims in Nova Scotia Shooting

Russell Township Mayor Pierre Leroux has approved that flags in the Township of Russell will be at half-mast until next Monday, April 27th for all who lost their lives in Nova Scotia’s mass shooting.
“Our sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of those killed in this senseless act of violence, including Const. Heidi Stevenson. We mourn for the tragic loss in their community during these difficult times. Our prayers and love go out to those affected,” says Mayor Leroux.
Schedule Changes for Easter Weekend 2020

The Township of Russell would like to remind residents that following schedule changes will take place Friday, April 10th and Monday, April 13th 2020 due to Easter weekend:
- Our offices are closed Friday, April 10th for Good Friday and Monday, April 13th for Easter. Regular hours of operation return on Tuesday April 14th.

The Township of Russell proclaims Thursday, February 20, 2020, Kinsmen and Kinettes Day; the week of February 16 - 22, 2020, Kinsmen and Kinettes Week, a Celebration of Kinsmen and Kinettes in Canada; and urge all citizens to salute their local Kinsmen and Kinettes.
