Russell, Ontario, December 8, 2021 – The nonprofit has provided more than $1.7 million to hometown heroes to date.
The Russell Fire Department has been named a 2021 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada. Russell Township is safer than ever thanks to the Foundation providing important funding in the amount of $10,712.

Last night, our 2022 budget was approved with a 2.5% tax increase, representing a $44.53 tax increase in 2022 for the average household. A total of $356,997 will be generated from this taxation increase.

There are now speed humps on Centenaire Street and King Street! As part of the Township 2018-2022’s Strategic Plan, we are reviewing pedestrian safety. At the October 4, 2021 Council Meeting, Council proclaimed October 2021 as Breast Cancer Awareness month in the Township of Russell. New Fireworks By-Law in the Township of Russell
August 10th 2021, Embrun - ON — The Township of Russell has a new Fireworks By-Law that will allow residents to use fireworks during specific dates throughout the year.
