Waste Limit Returns to One (1) Bag per Household the Week of August 4th 2020
Waste Collection & Bag Limit

Starting the week of August 4th, 2020, the waste limit for Township of Russell residents will return to the regular ONE (1) BAG LIMIT PER HOUSEHOLD. Extra bags at the curb without tags will not be picked up.

The waste limit was temporarily increased to 2 bags per household in March to accommodate our residents during the COVID-19 outbreak. The Township is re-adjusting changes made to municipal services as the Province moves forward with Stage 1 and 2 of re-opening.

Residents in Multi-Units

Starting the week of August 4th, 2020, the waste limit for Township of Russell residents will return to the regular ONE (1) BAG LIMIT PER HOUSEHOLD. Residents in multi units need to put a 2020 green tag on their garbage bag (as usual) and will no longer be allowed to have a second bag out for collection without a tag.
